The CTG Aldeia dos Anjos (CTG means Gaucho Tradition Center) was founded in 1956.

To promote, to preserve and to spread out the art and the Gaucho´s Culture, in a serious, true and systematic way is the main aim of CTG’s existence.

When interpreting authentic themes as “Tirana”, “Pezinho”, “Cana-Verde”, “Balaio”, among others, the CTG Aldeia dos Anjos recreate and improve the Gaucho´s tradition - so rich in beauty, always enchanting audiences in Brazil and all over the world.

Spreading Culture in Brazil and Abroad

Since formed, the CTG dancing group performed innumerous tours all over Brazil and participated In folk festivals abroad in Argentina, Portugal, Spain, China, Belgium, France, Italy, Turkey, Canada, United States and many others countries.

The recognition of the work done by this group is becoming evident year after year.

Official invitations to represent the state of Rio Grande do Sul and Brazil in to turnées in other countries are increasing every year.

Therefore the group is considered and ambassador of the Gaucho´s Culture abroad. The group has participated every year, since 1979, in Festivals of Art and Tradition, to promote the culture in Rio Grande do Sul, among around 1500 artists per Festival.

The CTG also won 11 significant dance contests (1987, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2005, 2006, 2009 e 2015) performing traditional dances.

In 2014, the dance group achieved an unprecedent feat winning the first international title for a Brazilian group in Turkey, in an International Dance Festival “Altinköprü” (Golden Bridge), during the 15th International Büyükçekmece Culture & Art Festival.

In 2016, the CTG won the prize Tempio D Oro, as winner of the 61th Festival Internazionale del Folklore (Sagra del Mandorlo in Fiore) in Agrigento - Italy.
